This project is a transformation of Paulus Nursing Home in Oslo, exploring how an existing care facility can be reimagined to meet contemporary needs while preserving its architectural character. Through careful adaptation and new interventions, the design aims to create a dignified and supportive environment that balances privacy, care, and social interaction. The proposal introduces a clearer spatial structure organized around shared spaces and calmer residential zones, with a protected courtyard acting as the social heart of the building. Emphasis is placed on human scale, warm materiality, and intuitive circulation, shaping an open and welcoming framework where residents, visitors, and staff can coexist in a coherent and caring architectural setting.
